Six months into the O-CEI Horizon Europe project, partners gathered in Athens for our first face-to-face Project Implementation Committee meeting.
Hosted by University of Pireo, this milestone included two parallel tracks: strategic and technical, focused on real progress and upcoming milestones. Discussions covered:

• Progress across our eight large-scale pilots

• Platform architecture and portal design

• Preparations for the upcoming Open Calls

Key impact areas: Communication, Standardisation, Open Source, and collaboration with the CSA
The level of collaboration and shared ambition was clear. We’re building Europe’s next-gen Cloud-Edge-IoT ecosystem together.

A new chapter begins: Republic of Korea joins Horizon Europe, a historic first 🌏

The Republic of Korea has become the first Asian country to associate with Horizon Europe, unlocking access to funding, projects, and policy dialogue.

This milestone strengthens EU–Korea ties and accelerates cooperation on digital, climate, and health challenges.

INSTAR is already collaborating with Korea’s TTA, with a signed MoU and a joint workshop on cybersecurity and eID standards. This is more than symbolic, it’s a practical shift toward global innovation alignment.
